D O G  YEARS

Dog Years, as a collection, is an amalgam of raw and often unfinished snapshots into a memory of the longest moments one can perceive - each of the so-called "dog years" is absorbed in such a way that the affected may believe that more time has passed than what the general consensus might be, referencing the manner in which humans classify and compare a dog's aging process to their own, making it seem like the dog is aging much faster than its hominid counterpart.

In a way, the affected are aging faster. Dog years do take an exponential toll on the fragile organic body, one that often cannot be reversed. This collection explores, through different mediums and processes, the binding to these experiences through suffering, grief and growth. A journey through self-sabotage, exit strategies and the explosive nature of the unconscious.

This Stranger was just made part of the closing end of the Dog Years cycle. Ominous, self-assured and solid, he acts as a guardian, a sentry to hold negative energies at bay while ensuring prosperity within honest boundaries. He is the last gatekeeper.
